Having penned over 50 short films and a dozen feature films, I have the experience to write the blueprint for what you see in your head. It’s taken 20 years, a lot of writing, and even more rewriting to get to where I am today. To be able to craft for you a script that will leap off the page, that will make you and your actors keep reading, and ultimately result in a memorable film.

You may have a vague idea for a script, or you might have scrawled down the whole film; either way, I will go through it with you, assess what you’re after, and get that juicy idea into words.

I have a strong understanding of the advertising world, and can write for most styles. I’m also accredited in optimising video content for mobile, which is a key discipline these days.

Script Consulting

Let’s say you’ve written a screenplay. Or teleplay. Or advert. But you're not sure if it’s any good.

That’s where I come in.

Sure, your Mum loves it. Your friends like it. Your old English teacher from Year 7 read it and is really proud of you.

But that doesn’t mean it’s good.

Sometimes (i.e. always) a second, neutral opinion is crucial. From an outsider who isn’t related to you, and didn’t once accompany you on the piano in a school play.

I give harsh but constructive criticism, and I offer you one of 3 options:

basic

I’ll read your script and give a brief general overview, with some suggestions on how to improve it.

intermediate

I shall read your script, and give you in-depth feedback, offering insights on characters, plot, story arc etc, and suggest various ways in which to make it better. I guarantee you’ll see your screenplay in a whole new light.

pro

The Full Monty. I’ll forensically deconstruct your script and give you full feedback. On top that, I’ll help you rewrite it so that it’s not just a script, it’s a great script.*
